New Patients

We believe that one of our first and most important contributions to your child’s success is helping you to navigate the process of establishing the best treatment and plan to fit your child’s unique needs. We understand that this process can be confusing and challenging, and our hope is to make it as painless as possible so that you can focus on your family and your child.

Your first visit to Strive Orthotics & Prosthetics establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you and your child. During your first visit, we will take time to discuss you and your child's goals and needs. We will also open communication with the rest of the healthcare team to ensure we establish the best possible solution for your little one.

You'll find all the practical information you need on this site, such as a map and directions to our office(s), practice hours, payment policies and more. You can even save some time at your first visit by printing out and completing the new patient forms in advance of your appointment.

Cost and Insurance

Orthotic and Prosthetic care can be expensive and every person is concerned about the cost.

Oftentimes it’s difficult to tell someone how much their orthosis or prosthesis is going to cost without an in-person evaluation. After the patient and their families talk with the clinician about their condition, goals, and health, a rough estimate can be prepared. A more exact estimate requires an evaluation appointment.

If you need help with payment options or resources, please ask us. Our practitioners will always assist you in finding help!

Insurance and Patient Financial Obligation

Understanding and completing the requirements and paperwork for private insurance, workers’ compensation, auto, vocational rehab, disability, or Medicare can be confusing. We will provide individual assistance as patients work their way through the process of securing financing whether it is private insurance, Medicare, or another source. We spend time understanding each specific situation. We are knowledgeable in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, and we communicate with all pay-sources. We will assist with phone calls, forms, and mailings, and keep our patients updated on the insurance process. With many years of experience in securing payment for orthotic and prosthetic care, we are thorough and efficient. We believe providing this type of assistance to our patients is an important part of customized care.

We are in-network for many insurance providers and work with many others on an out-of-network basis. To find out if we work with your insurance company, contact our office and a member of our administrative staff will be happy to help.

If the patient doesn’t have insurance, we will help to find alternative funding options!

Understanding Changes in Healthcare

Medicare now requires more justification in documentation to cover orthotic and prosthetic care. Since Medicare sets the standard for many private insurance companies as well, several of these requirements may also be necessary for private insurances. These standards include that a patient must see their physician prior to starting a new orthosis or prosthesis and obtain the dictation notes from that office visit. Also, an initial prescription will be required to begin the process and will be followed up by additional documentation before the orthosis or prosthesis can be delivered. Our staff will manage what is necessary from your doctor in order to deliver your orthosis or prosthesis. However, it is helpful for you, the patient, to be aware of what is required because this can extend the time it takes to obtain approval and to build your device.

Payment Policies

We accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details.
